We’re back after a slight offline moment, and what cooler than to rebrand your Banana.

An interesting rebrand campaign by designer DJ Neff. This new site allows you to create your own sticker, in a simplified 3 color way.

Very subtle but great designs can be made from this system. The pre-designed faces pieces are designed to fit the Chiquita rebrand pretty well.. there’s also a store to buy designed faces on numerous clothes and things.

Check it out, you may make a face you find strangely satisfying.

23 Brilliant Logos With Hidden Messages (RT)

I had found this on Twitter, following Smashing Magazine so props for them to showing me this.

These logos are quite interesting, I myself have noticed a lot of the logo’s secret build in meanings myself, or have had a real good hunch a long time ago. This clears it up though; and plain english. Definitely take a look. It may inspire your next logo design to incorporate that special something that will make your client go, ‘Ooh.’ or in some cases, ‘Ahhh.’

Type Inspired Interfaces: Using a type style as your basis for Web

What an interesting article I read today about the minute details of incorporating selected typefaces into your design. This specific article covers the usefulness on the Web with type. Many times most of us will sit in front of a blank white board and wonder what, where do we start? Insight from Dan Mall’s experience is one of the ways to do it, start with the type of course! Personally I will do many different things, depending on what i’m working on. I may need to be immersed in what i’m doing to get a vibe or a inspiration from surroundings, but normally like everyone we’ll just sit and stare picking our brains apart for ideas. So this technique may be useful for those in the future who need a quick, simple, but attentive solution. I like this article, in-fact it’d be useful to show a few people I know.
