This rather suspiciously designed mug by Mike Mak is a creative solution to break the silence at your workspace. You can even add your own earrings!
“Dear Van Gogh is a silicon mug that integrated with a realistic flexible ear. It could replace the punishment from MUM/ Wife / Girlfriend And it is a good listener to keep your secrets and grumbling. You can also customize it with your favourate (sic) earrings. (mikemak)”
With Apple’s latest trend of unibody and minimalistic approach to exposed heads and seams, you’re probably thinking about what would work well on your desk or workstation.
A possible solution is this; Deskology has accessories to complement your aluminum computer. Now the steep price of $185 may be a bit much for simple 3/16″ aluminum thick organizers, but nothing’s wrong with the aesthetic.
Now you can get that extra bit of cord you need to aimlessly do things!
This is a genius idea that Yanko Design has come up with. It’s takes the common problem of not having any cord length to do anything and turns it into a bright idea.
Not sure all home sockets would convert, but judging if I had to make my own house, i’d definitely incorporate this, along with lots of other things.
All you need reading further it’s a 1.5 meter cord, which is plenty to do whatever you need a room.. or that little bit more vacuuming.
I’ve been following the BBC (not BBCA) for the past 5 years, from Top Gear, to following the three’s many episodes and series, James May has come with some pretty genius series to inspire even the stiffest brick to becoming more so and run the creative juices on overdrive of those who actually give two-bits of care.
The most recent of these (and well publicized) is James May’s Toy Stories. This was Episode 5, and having being build in the Summer and mostly posted/blogged/aired/ranted/dreamt world wide was shown recently. I’m not alone in saying how brilliant this was, as a kid playing with Lego’s we all had the same question and finally it was been proven.
So if you have the chance (and if we ever get proper television shows) you may catch this series and the many others, please do it’s worth every minute (and did you know BBC has no commercials to disturb the show? so you get 1 full hour of complete television without being told about all the side effects of something?)
Here’s a bit of a preview:
Rant Section:
This may be one of the only times i’ll spill my opinion as true hardy as this. I’m beside myself with the impression that television outside of the US is just that much better. I find myself lurking sites that air British television shows, waiting for the next good series to come out, i’m not going to lie. It’s just better. Partially it may just be the admiration of British television and its culture (to an extent), but comparing The F Word to a show done by Bobby Flay is similar to comparing a fresh, handmade 20-plus layer fluffy croissant right out of an oven to a Wal-Mart mass produced squeeze and pinched out croissant. It’s just not the same, and the incredibly mass produced television shows I see in the US rather come out to be pretty predictable and well, boring. When Top Gear finally hit US shores on BBCA (chopped with horrible commercials and removal of a lot of the content), it took the automotive nuts that still existed and turned them to a different view of the beloved car. Now there’s a bit more shows, but commercials kill the content. What gives? Hopefully others will catch on, until then.. Torrents are great, but you didn’t hear that from me.
