Hi there, i'm Dave.
I'm currently a student at the University of Akron majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Professional Photography. My passion is design, typography makes a great deal of my interest in design, but also share interest in product, and interactive design. I try to emphasize simplicity with strong meaning with sensible use of color.
My views on graphic design and photography
My inspiration toward the graphic design is quite simple. Typography has taken me over, everything people see, understand, follow is words these days. They evoke emotion, intuition, and anything else you can imagine. Creating a strong platform forwhich people can justify remembering is what I strive for in graphic design. Secondary elements are always important as well, they may help magnify the importance and give the viewer direction. As I continue my studies and implement them on this site and all the work i've done so far, I hope to exceed even my own expectations i've set for myself in graphic design.
Photography on the other hand started from my interest in technology. I've always loved photography, days i'd sit in class across the photography labs in Folk hall just made me wish I was in there trying to make sense of what that person was trying to capture. To me this is the other side of the spectrum from graphic design, though I know they can both be used effecitvely together I see photography as a way of capturing the essence and vitality of the subject matter, as with my projects offer the sheer simplicity that the viewer understands, and sometimes even they won't understand.
